A legal innovator who understands that the future of law lies at the intersection of expertise and technology. Joachim brings deep domain knowledge in corporate law and a vision for how AI can transform legal practice.
Background
Joachim Vanspeybrouck (Brugge, 1975) obtained his law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven, after completing his candidatures in Kortrijk.
He furthered his education through postgraduate training as a mediator in insurance matters, a postgraduate course for curators and liquidators, and a postgraduate program in mediation for civil and commercial disputes.
Since 1999, he has been a lawyer at the West Flanders Bar (formerly Bruges). For over 10 years, he also served as a lecturer on liability and procedure in the insurance intermediary training program (Syntra Vlaanderen).
In 2003, he was a founding partner of VSV-advocaten, after which he established Speyk. Advocaten in March 2011. In July 2019, he joined the Wanted Law group with his firm.
Expertise
Within the firm, he handles cases with a particular focus on real estate, corporate, contract, and liability law, while also remaining active in the property-related aspects of family law cases.
He is frequently appointed as debt mediator, administrator, and curator of unmanaged estates.
Since April 2017, he has been a recognized mediator in civil and commercial matters and has been included on the list of recognized mediators of the Federal Mediation Commission. Since 2020, he has been listed among collaborative lawyers.
Vision for Antville
Antville was born from a simple observation: legal professionals spend too much time on tasks that could be automated, and not enough time on the high-value work that requires human judgment. Through products like ValueScreening and AskLidia, we're changing that equation.
The Partnership
The joint venture between Antville and Turtle Tech combines legal expertise with AI engineering capabilities. Joachim's deep understanding of what lawyers need, paired with Turtle Tech's technical prowess, creates products that actually work in the real world of legal practice.
He is a co-author of various publications and strives, where possible, for conflict-avoiding solutions based on the underlying interests of clients, with a continuous pursuit of added value.
